I am exhausted after a weekend of music and friends from CA. The Pitchfork Music Festival was pretty great this year. I got to see Pavement, Modest Mouse, Surfer Blood, Sleigh Bells, Broken Social Scene, and the best band there: Beach House. It was way more crowded than any other year and they made some stupid fucking decisions like every possible decision about the second stage. Why put Surfer Blood and Sleigh Bells on a side stage? and why have such a small entrance/exit for that stage? and why add to the crapped confusion by putting beer and water sales in the same area? I'm not sure if I'll go next year. It was nice seeing my friends from Sacramento and San DIego, and if they fly out again for it I'll definitely go... I'm sure if there's someone cool playing I'll be there.
