I'm going to try to go to some more concerts or something when I'm in town. it's getting a bit lame not knowing anyone in this huge city. I'm so terrible at meeting people, but really good at hanging onto friends. strange. i would go to bars, as it's always easy to meet people there, but I don't like them... and to meet someone there would be to misrepresent myself. I hear the internet has websites for strangers to become friends, but I think there's something inherently off about those websites. I mean... I don't include SG in there, but I haven't had much luck here either. I'm seeing Jeff Tweedy this weekend, and I have tickets to Pitchfork - which is going to be incredible - so I'm hopeful. though traveling 3 weeks out of the month doesn't help things. I do finally have money for furniture and lots of new clothes and lots of things for my apartment. all this money just fell on me all of a sudden and I think I'm ok with that.
