I have an update on that whole attempted-sexual-assault thing. It's not a totally awesome one (they didn't catch the guy) but it's a good one nonetheless.
The door that I usually exit when leaving work has no real visibility of the outside street, since it's recessed. Today I talked to the CFO of the company and suggested that we get some convex mirrors to put out there so we can see if someone is about to pass before we leave. She agreed it would be a good idea and is going to order some.
We then proceeded to complain about getting cat-called and swap stories. She offered to have her husband--a retired Green Beret--get me some pepper spray or mace. I said that would be great. She's also going to have him come in and do a self-defense course. Apparently he does them every once in a while at the company, and anyone who is interested can attend.
Have I mentioned lately how happy I am that there is a woman in a position of authority at my company? When you work with 95% guys, it's good to know there's a higher-up who will take stuff like this seriously.

wow well i am glad SOMETHING good came out of that.. i sound bad as a man saying this but.... stupid fucking men lol You should make a video and show us some of that self deffense stuff you learn lol
