Today I went out and purchased a book called "The Culture of Fear" by: Barry Glassner. I highly recomend this book to anyone. It is a very frank current affair book that lucidly exposes how the media and politicians play to Americas' fears. A few fun fact that I have red so far is; 543 million americans are seriously sick- a shocking number in a nation populated by 266 million. either as society we are doomed, or we have some serious hypocondriacs on our hands... amazing hmm? Very interesting facts and as the book states, i agree that this is a great alternative to prozac. Our society sensationalizes everything in order to make money and attract attention. Our crime rates have dropped tremendously over the last decade yet we focus on how bad off we are. I find this book a must have on anyones reading agenda.
