I just got off the phone with my mom. I love her very much, but honestly some days she drives me up the fuckin' wall.

On the Oscars:

"I don't care what homosexuals do when they're alone, but I wish they wouldn't rub our noses in it."

"There was a lovely negro woman..."

She isn't actually old enough to have these attitudes left over from the 50's, but there you go.

On my childhood:

"...and now all my children have moved as far away from home as possible; of course that's how I raised you, to be brave."

No she didn't. She really, really didn't.
