So here's the deal, I've been out of school because of the teacher strike. I'm supposed to be doing my in-class observation right now. So with a surprise two weeks off, what do I do? Drink, drink, and drink some more. Maybe not the healthy choice, but what eles is an art teacher wanna-be supposed to do with unexpected free time?

My ex has really been stressing me out lately, she is going through a really tough time right now and I am left wanting to help her out but not being able to. We went out for about three years and broke up about six months ago, but are still pretty good friends. Hopefully she'll get her head together before too long. I don't want to cut her out of my life because we've been friends for nearly a decade and moved to Victoria together, but man, I don't know how much more of this drama I can handle.

In the category of things that make me happy, I bought a swank new easel yesterday, I got to meet the very lovely leanan_sidhe for coffee on Sunday, and I stomped around in the mud at the big protest downtown on Monday. I'm also teaching a few of my friends about the geek-joy that is Carcassonne.

Time for scotch!
