Having had my first real look at SG yesterday, I was up all night last night checking it out. Met a few friendly people, and unlike Yahoo, none of them are chat robots. It wasn't long before I gravitated to the group of one of my most favorite things to do. No, not the masturbation group. I'm refering to DRUNKS. A weekend where I don't get at least a little toasted is considered to be a complete waste. It seems to make everything better. Stupid movies suddenly become hilarious. Food tastes better. Ah well, I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir, here.

I believe a few drinks brings out the real person. People that act completely differently while buzzed are probably hiding their true personality for whatever reason (almost always the fear of rejection). No, I'm not saying that people have a secret desire -- and finally muster up the courage -- to strip naked and weazle on their neighbor's lawn (well, maybe if they're sick of the neighbor's dog using their yard for a tiolet.) I'm just talking about a drink or two, not delirium.

I'm sure this stems from a fear of being rejected. Most people are so uptight, wanting so much to make good impressions on people, so much that they hide significant parts of their personality. Alchohol is considered by many to be a crutch. But maybe it takes away the crutch? It is probably more accurate to say that it causes people to forget
that they needed a crutch in the first place, and surprise: People really do like them after all! They aren't as ugly, fat, and/or boring as they thought they were. And if you think that other peoples' acceptance of you comes from the fact that they've been drinking too, I refer you back to my previous paragraph.
