i found out some terrible news the other day. I wrote the following a few nights ago:
i have to draw a fuckin like right now (after finishing off a whole bottle of jameson tonight). I came across this HORRIBLE info on www.upcominghorrormovies.com, a VERY trusted source that i follow. Here's what i found:

No official plot yet, but the original followed a group of friends as they vacationed at a small remote cabin, where they are forced to fend off against each other after they're possessed by evil spirits from within the forest.

- No word if Bruce will have a role in the film, but I wouldn't be surprised if he at least had a cameo appearance.
- Sam Raimi will not be directing, instead he will be looking for a new director to "reinvent" the film after a script is written.
- Produced by original writer/director Sam Raimi and original producing partners Rob Tapert and Bruce Campbell.
- A remake of the classic low-budget 1981 film.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!!
please kids, the time has come for the minions of the first movie, those of us raised on this classic (kicks Casablancas ass) to stand up. THIS CANNOT HAPPEN!!!!! this movie is PERFECT as is. it shouldn't be fucking touched. Evil Dead does NOT work:
a) without Bruce as the star
b) without sam raimi directing
c) without sam raimi writting.
We need to take a stand. Start petitions, write emails, make phone calls, bomb government centers, vomit on your parents new white rug. DO WHATEVER THE FUCK IT TAKES. THIS CANNOT AND WILL NOT HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sam DENIED new line cinema the rights to Ash for "Freddy vs Jason vs Ash" because he didn't want to be standing over the director's and writer's shoulder saying "Ash wouldn't do that." He said HE (not some douch bag film student) wanted to do the NEXT evil dead flick. WHAT THE HELL?!
