this time tomorrow i will be wasted in chicago. i used to travel there every two months but this winter kicked my ass as far as bills go. i can't wait to go record shopping and bar hopping.
i only watched about 3 episodes of that 70's show this season. the writing really went to shit but for some reason i found myself compelled to watch the finale. it was ok. i'm glad that while they did flash back, it wasn't a flash back episode. maybe i missed something this season but... jackie and fez? huh?
i've also decided that Big Star is one of the most underrated bands of all time. i was actually able to track down "#1 record" and :sister lover/3rd" on vinyl at road runner. Not to mention chilton's solo record "bach's back." you can really hear chiltons influence on paul westerberg ( ironically i just realized that i went from that 70's show to big star without even thinking that chilton wrote "in the street," the theme song that cheap trick butchered for the 70's show).
must pack for chi-town.
