I am listening to Sonic Youth's Sister album tonite. That is just one of many great SY albums. I wish I didn't like stuff like this. How the hell do you communicate this? How do you share it? Sonic Youth's music has a deep, impacted beauty that sometimes has made me even cry. If its not Art, the word has no meaning I can discern. The twenty years since this album came out have not diminished it at all.

I wish I cld just be a cookie cutter, discharging economic duty, living my life w/o emotions, only feeling what I'm supposed to feel, focussing my passion on acceptable things, like some sports team. But this music reminds me that is impossible. Anyways, its obvious. The toothpaste is out of the tube.

I feel like almost everybody I know anymore would just run out of the room if I played SY for them.

But a lot of people can hear the beauty.
