Been working every day since saturday and haven't really been able to do much else. Today was my first day off and i don't have work til sunday so i decided to drive home for a little hometown time while i still can. Once classes start the odds of no class and no work syncing up are rare at best so no 4 hour drives back to hot springs.
Stopped to walk around a walmart on my way back (through southern arkansas thats the only place to stop and walk around, its that boring) and found DVD gold.
Wishmaster 1-3 on dvd...great scifi horror movie set. Djinn comes out of a gem and seeks to grant 3 wishes for the person that released it, once it does it can unleash all its Djinn brethren on the world and essentially create hell on earth. In line typical Djinn mythos he grants wishes in the most twist and disturbed way possible...finding a loophole in any wish to screw you over, he also gets your soul.
So it makes for lots of twisted horror and violence yet the person that wakes him always ends up stopping them. The increasingly rare happy ending in a horror movie...that just doesn't happen much these days (no happy ending is becoming as cliche as the guaranteed happy ending)
