Today was a pretty good day off, though sadly it started with one of my roommates moving out. It does give me half the apartment to myself but he was a pretty kewl guy. He was the first of my roommates as nerdy as me, so it gave some conversation points. He was only going to be here for a short time so he could finish his last class and graduate but i could swear he wasn't here long enough.
Oh well, after that i went to see Scott Pilgrom Vs. The World. It was good, great mix of retro gaming references with visuals and plot that don't take things too seriously. I hit a nostalgic bit when i definately heard some 8-bit Zelda tunes. Not to mention any movie with a lesbian ninja and flaming sword fights is worth watching.
Tried out my new Arcade Stick on Street Fighter IV, its not bad for $50. though i do see the issues with the square gate on the joystick, gonna have to look into modding it later with an octagonal sanwa stick, shouldn't be too hard for a former engineering student.
