Today is one of those windy and rainy days that happen so often in the fall around here. I kind of like it, I was even kind of excited this morning when I could hear the faint sound of raindrops on the roof when I woke up. I'm not sure what it is exactly, I think a big part of it is sitting somewhere dry and watching the rain, like inside my apartment, in my car, out the window at work. But even if I'm out in it, as long as I'm not totally getting drenched, I kind of like it.
Maybe I'm weird, I don't know. I also like driving in the rain, during the day at least. I can't quite explain it, but I like it. Its probably because my car is still brand new and the windshield wipers are still working awesome. Once that starts to go downhill, I'm definitely not going to like it as much.
On another note, most of the things I like about my apartment (the really cool light fixtures, the dishwasher, the nice gas stove, the really cool vintage cast iron radiators) have decided to go on the fritz over the past week or so. I was expecting it to be a big hassle, but my landlord is cool and stopped by tuesday to check everything out and is sending some folks in to fix everything today. Gotta love that. The thing I'm missing the most is the dishwasher. There are few things I hate as much as having to hand wash dishes. I don't know why, its not that hard, its just, I dunno, I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels like that.
Other than that, I don't have much to complain about. I just discovered an old debt that I need to pay off that's costing me $360 a month for the next year or so, but hopefully come January 1, I'll get the raise that I feel like I deserve and that will totally negate that extra expense plus some.
That's all for now, hope everyone enjoyed world blasphemy day yesterday!
