Its so great to live again in a place within striking distance of Canada.
Friday we went to a club called Lotus to catch Phil K and Luke Chable spinning. First we popped into the New Amsterdam Cafe. If youve been there, you know what makes it special. If not, theres a hint there in the name. Made some new friends at one of the communal tables. One of them was a Japanese guy from near Shibuya (in Tokyo). I actually managed to converse a bit with him in Japanese. I think that would be the crowning achievement of the year or so Ive been trying to study the language. Lotus was great. People were supercool, and fun to watch as well. I like Canadians.
After that there was more driving - further north, riding at Whistler, good times with good friends, etc but now Ive got to attend to a pot o lentil barley soup threatening to boil over.
