YAY Internets are back! Unfortunatey, my only option for an ISP is Charter, so it wasn't all that surprising when I discovered my connection was out for about 6 hours this morning. Bleh.

Steph is still depressed overall, but at least she's recovered to the point that I can make her smile and laugh again. I'm having to contort myself practically into a cartoon character to do it, but it's working. She doesn't want to let her father know that she's found out about his scam, but if that bastard calls her again I don't think I'll be able to hold my tongue.

In other news, I've decided to try my hand at writing a novel. It'll be... kind of weird. Sort of a fantasy/sci-fi deal, assuming I actually finish it. I finished writing the first chapter and now I'm making notes about how this world works and why and the history of it, and plotting out the major twists and turns. I would like to know what the ending is going to be before I get too far, so I don't write myself into a corner or add in elements before I know what they mean. If I pull this off and people like it, the story arc I'm plotting out could last as many as 9 books. Clearly, I'm insane for wanting to do this.
