at 11am i awoke to some serious flooding on my street.
It always floods a lil when it rains but never before like this in the 20 years I've lived here.
At around noon there were dead cars all over the place and I had to call the fire department. My sister paniced and drove into the water and her civic died. That was when I had to take my first step into the water.
I've had to put 11 cars and 2 trucks in neutral and push them out of the water to safety. And even tho I'm standing waist deep in the middle of the street next to flooded trucks. These 20 year old idiots in the lil acuras refuse to listen and instead drive right by me. Into the water and an insurance claim.
I'm not standing here for the fun of it. These trucks arent making it where the hell did you get the idea that you can.
2 hours later 2 government vehicles arrive to block the roads. They see me killing myself pushing a minivan up Roma. Do they help? Fuck no. They stay in their nice warm trucks sippin D&D and getting paid overtime. I've had it. My neighbors basement is flooded. My sisters car too. I am calling the news right now about the government letting me do all the work.
My neighbors are videotaping a bunch of us helping out. Not that I give them a choice. It's very simple. I help you, you help me help them. I make it very clear that staying in their flooded car watching us after we helped them is not an option.
This is gonna be on the news if I have my way.
