I was working on a project (vision related) and doing fine then all of a sudden now I'm fucking grumpy! This is gonna be a bitchfest post.
nvidia sdmanager is a pile of absolute dog shit. I've worked with fresh-out-school morons that could develop something better than this dog shit. I've stepped in shit that worked better than this. You can't flash a goddamn thing on it unless you are running exactly Ubuntu, and exactly 18.04 - nothing else is supported even though their fucking trash documentation says otherwise. What a huge fucking waste of my time! The workaround? just edit /etc/os-release to make it look like whatever shit you are running _looks_ like Ubuntu 18.04. Doesn't work on Windows (any version), doesn't work on a Mac, can be hacked to work in WSL on Windows if you don't mind spending 45 minutes dicking around.
This is a horrible developer experience and nvidia should bitch slap itself into unconsciousness and when it wakes up fire every fucking developer on staff and start over.
