I completely depleted my checking and savings to pay for tuition and (mostly) rent after financial aid refused to pay for summer quarter. Ever since this summer I have been falling a little farther behind on certain bills. Well that finally caught up and I woke up this morning to the cell phone disconnected.
I've been looking for either a full-time job or a second part-time job but not finding much. In this area way too many jobs are seasonal and winter shuts those jobs down. The wifey thinks I should reapply to best buy, but honestly I don't think they wanted me. BB seems to mostly want high school (ish) age kids that don't know shit but are still young enough to have that "can-do" attitude.
I've started selling things that I don't really need, such as long-term projects, just to keep afloat. I sold my old '73 Chevy pickup a few months back and now I have my '76 Jeep CJ5 on craigslist. However, this is a bad time of the year to sell shit and I might need to take more drastic measures: cancel comcast (TV/Internet) and maybe car insurance on one of the vehicles (I'm hesitant because I don't want some jackass to hit it while it's parked).
At least I don't have to worry about having the power shut off as it is paid by my landlord. Now if only that were true with the gas... oh and I'm not yet sure how to pay January's rent.......
