Emacs or VIM?
I have been using the VIM text editor for over a decade and love it. However, lately in my CS classes I have been writing a lot more code than I usually do and have been having this feeling of wanting something more. So I've decided that I'm going to try out Emacs.. again. I think the last time I looked at Emacs was circa 2002 (ish) and I found editing in VIM to be faster and simpler. I think the best way to do it would be to just jump right in and force myself to use only Emacs for a week or so.
I don't see anything wrong with trying it out.. I mean I think I once said I would die before giving up VIM, but then again I think I said the same thing about using an email client other than MUTT and look how that turned out (i.e. I use web-based Gmail now...)
