After working with blender for the last week and a half I've come to the conclusion that it is a great piece of software for 3D modeling and 3D animation, but it's not so great for 3D games.
The 3D game that I am working on for one of my classes is a simple maze with a ball as the actor. The player moves the ball through the maze to the other side. That much works. The list of things that don't work or don't work correctly is much longer.. Some of the walls in the maze are visible but for whatever reason the ball will go right through them (and fall off the map). Also there is no second (or higher) levels. Just one maze. I had intended for there to be different mazes of increasing difficulty, but getting the first one working correctly is proving to be too time consuming. After successfully navigating the maze, there is a second slightly larger ball that the "player" ball has to knock off the edge. This was supposed to be the kick-start for the next level, but oh well...
I suspect I may end up quitting here and turning in what I have done thus far because I have homework and programming assignments piling up in my other two classes!

And don't despair you can do it!
