Tomorrow I am going to drive the 2+ hours again to go see the wifey. We'll go to dinner and then I'll turn around and head home. Basically the same thing I did last week, but she's stressing out because today was the last day of training and tomorrow starts the tests.
Today was my mom's 61st birthday. I think it went well. My older sister made prime rib, mashed potatoes, corn, etc. The prime rib is something she does amazing job on and once people have had it they request it.
So I have a Sandisk Sansa View 32GB MP3 player that I've had since spring '08 and while I like the hardware (design) I absolutely HATE, HATE, HATE the firmware. Unfortunately Sandisk doesn't seem to care about us View owners now that they've moved onto a different player. Also, while several Rockbox developers have worked on the View, none have made any significant progress. It seems it is similar to the e200 but different enough to be a royal pain in the ass. Apparently the LCD screen is the first big problem. No one seems to know exactly what it is or how to communicate with it. I thought about helping with this project since I have a View, but the more I look into the whole problem (or problems) the less it seems worth it. Might as well just save up and buy a different MP3 player that already has Rockbox on it!
