I used to write a lot of poetry but quit sometime ago. As of late I have had trouble expressing my feelings and learning to let things go. So last night I decided maybe it is time to try some simple, ugly poetry.
Keep in mind this is a small piece of something that is two full pages and growing.
The title is "Broken" and here is a sample:
"...
The anger damages my soul,
For I haven't learned to let it go.
There is no retribution,
I can only imagine a bad solution.
I wonder how my sins will be judged,
Even if they are only portrayed in my mind.
...
Should my body and soul separate,
I pray for God's embrace.
But God will not accept a selfish end,
So I am left with a damned lonely departure.
There are no words that can be said,
To remove the torture from my head.
...
I beg your help to find a middle ground,
Before it's too late for us to rebound.
..."
It's a work in-progress and needs a lot of refinement. Be kind and remember I haven't written a poem in probably 10 years!
