So I just finished a malware/virus removal job for an older couple that was particularly bad. It took me 4 afternoons+evenings to clean it all up. I decided after 2 days to cap my fee at $150. I took the computer back this afternoon, hooked it up, made sure their Internet connection worked, etc. I then told the lady the price and she had this shocked look and I was thinking "oh crap, here we go" but instead of her being upset with the amount she actually thought I was under charging her. So she wrote me a check I thanked her and left. When I got home I looked at the check - something I probably should have done right when she handed it to me but I'm a nice guy.. well it turns out she gave me $175, $25 extra! I called her right away and thanked her.

Between class being canceled and getting a little extra moo-la, this weekend is looking pretty good!

Now back to work on another computer for a customer that wants it back asap but doesn't want to pay shit...
