Oh I forgot to mention that I applied for a sales job at Sears (among other places) and they called me back for a preliminary interview. Since business has been so slow the wife and I decided I needed to find a part-time job. I think I applied to about 10 different places and this is the only one (so far?) that has called me...

The computer I was working on for the previously mentioned relative was given back today with a minimal install of Windows 7 Pro and not much else on it. I have a backup of their data that I will have to spend time disinfecting and putting onto some DVDs before giving it back.
To facilitate this and make it a little easier on myself I...

Why do I keep doing work for relatives? I always end up pissed off and feeling like they are completely ungrateful for it.
So I just finished a malware/virus removal job for an older couple that was particularly bad. It took me 4 afternoons+evenings to clean it all up. I decided after 2 days to cap my fee at $150. I took the computer back this afternoon, hooked it up, made sure their Internet connection worked, etc. I then told the lady the price and she had this...

I love it when class gets canceled! My last class today was canceled = early day. Then I just got home and found checked my email and there was one from the prof for my first class saying that class for tomorrow morning is canceled = sleep in day. Yea I'm in a good mood now!

When wearing my computer repair hat I like Microsoft Windows because I make more money from it thanks to all the malware/viruses out there, but damn I'm getting sick of cleaning up other people's shit. Good thing I charge hourly!

So I skipped class today. I stayed up way too late working on two client computers (both are infected with malware) and one is a "rush" job. When 6 am rolled around and that alarm clock started beep'n, I decided it was way too soon and figured two more hours of sleep sounded better than sitting through History of ancient Asia with only 4 hours...

Ralph Waldo Emerson's "The American Scholar" was today's text in class. A strange, but interesting piece written specifically for a club of Harvard students back in 1837. Instead of spending half the time lecturing and half the time discussing, today the prof decided to do something else entirely.
I find it harder and harder to go to my early American republic history class. Today the...

I spend years in a speech class getting rid of my lisp, if I sounded like Cindy Brady now I bet iy would be cute.
Sounds like an awesome language to learn! Thanks so much for the request.

Lisp/lisp..? Never thought of it that way!
You are welcome and thank you.
When it rains it pours. Last week I had no business what-so-ever and this week I've had three virus/malware computers to fix at the same time. Not that I'm complaining, but it would be nice if these things could space themselves out a little bit!

VALHALLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
