Moderation is ok, but there is more to life than that.
It might be good to help a person live longer. I'm not sure. I'm not even sure that's much of a reason to be moderate.
Actually, I find your passion kind of inspiring. You remind me of a girlfriend I once had. She was passionate about everything.
Life with her was good, but it was also a lot of work.
I don't know that it's fair to say which kind of life is better.
If you feel like doing something, or doing it a certain way, follow your instincts.
You'll know when it's time to change. It becomes obvious at a certain point. the thing is, it always changes.
