It's no secret that I love the Strokes and the front man Julian Casablancas, so it may be of no surprise that the most life changing show I've been too was of Julian Casablancas and The Voidz.

JC and the Voidz are on Julian's own record label Cult Records and released their only album yet in 2014. When I found out that they were playing only 4 hours from me the distance did not keep me from going.

On November 19, me and 4 of my fellow Strokes loving friends traveled up to Detroit, MI to see the most precious person in the world to me.

Everything about the trip and show soothed me in every way. I was in a really toxic relationship for almost 4 years and around that time I was fighting to get out of it. Seeing Julian stand inches away from helped me to get through those tough days and is definitely one of my favorite memories. ❤
