ZOMFG! and every other meme used to express awesomeness! Not only did I get to announce Ted DiBiase. Not only did I get to hang out with him and hear some interesting stories. I got to be the one to take the hour and a half trip to and from Fredericton with him. Driving him that distance we got to shoot the breeze, hear his stories about him, and the wrestlers I grew up watching, travel the roads and get up to all the things they got up to with ribs and whatnot. A really down to earth and a class act all the way. He took Patty and I out for breakfast and a really interesting thing happened. I found out that he is just like my dad. A funny, kind of derpy guy who likes gadgets and electronics. He likes hunting and fishing and Johnny Cash. He's also a total goober who likes fart jokes. It was really refreshing to meet a guy who has gone the places he has, seen the things that he's seen, had fame and recognition and still a regular guy, approachable and easy to talk to. I could tell some of the stories, but text would just not do them justice. I will tease with that one of them involved him using a fart machine sound board on his iPhone and me doing my best not to veer off the road from laughing so hard. Turns out I guess I like fart jokes too.
