So whats going on?

Well its wet (hooray, its looking like a desert around here). 3 years ago I would have been depressed and swearing about this, but when you get more than 320 days sunshine, a bit of rain is OK. Its also cold, relatively speaking. Yesterday was the coldest day of the year 17 degrees celcius. So my bike protests when it is wet and I have sympathetically allowed it to stay toasty and warm indoors. Makes me feel a bit fat and lazy, but the Italians make such a fuss.

Have a vast stack of exam papers to mark and am gradually working my way through a bottle of wine. Have to finish them by tomorrow, which is why I am pissing my existence down the drain writing this instead of marking stuff. Bored, in other words.

Time to put on music. Brian Jonestown massacre for a bit of a change.

Still waiting for 3,5K from a pharmaceutical company. Chased them yesterday and they have apologised and promised to send asap. When it comes I am going away for a bit I think. Maybe here.

Get away from people for a bit. Hope its safe for ocean swimming coz the bike cant come. Also need to let a student have the house for a bit to look after the dogs. Maybe I should just go up to the mountains with the dogs for a few days instead. They would like that.

Time to go. More marking.

All you catholics (ex & current) do have it tough. That indoctrination runs deep, eh?

"Then spotted not only music I love, type of girls had been out with/ friendly with/ married/ been dumped by..." You are a glutton for punishment tongue Oh that's right, you're a cyclist. wink

You brought up the geek factor. Yeah, this is a site that not only tolerates, but celebrates geek in all its forms: technology, sports, art, sex, whatever. I'm sure half my friends list knows more now about cycling then they ever did before. And they're all pretty tolerant of it, making supportive comments in my journal when I spazz out with pics and whatever. And I now know that computer guys are not as weird/scary/creepy as I thought they were, and that they occassionally get out and about in the world. Even if they do play a lot of video games.

RE: boobs v. legs - I haven't seen a lot of models with really good legs on here, ie athlete girl legs, not just skinny girl legs. Not saying that they aren't here, I just haven't seen much of them. Though that could be cuz I go for days without looking at the pics, mainly just doing the journals and groups thing. Sometimes I forget that there are naked chicks here. eeek shocked Is that possible!??!! Is that heresy?!! biggrin

The weather there sounds exactly like San Diego. It's good to be grateful for the rain rather than cursing it because it won't leave. And the bike does not need to be subjected to such cruelty. It needs, nay, deserves, pampering and love, not to be thrust out into such cruel elements. That's just mean and constitutes bike abuse.

That island looks nice. I saw a show on tv about a resort in a place called Datai Bay.

Nice. I've put it on my list of places to go. Jeez, I can't wait to get back into the working world to earn full-time $$. I need to travel! And yes, people are over-rated. Gotta escape them once in a while.

Your definition of boredum is perfect. I am going to steal it. Might or might not give proper credit when used, depending on the mood. Cuz ya know, I'm not an ex-catholic so your guilt won't work on me, man! biggrin wink
