New... First post of 2013. Been down and out sick since New Years day. My niece and nephew thought it would be a good idea to give their uncle a nasty cold for Xmas. The little Ebola monkeys.
I been fighting to get back to at least the daily routine and keeping the demons at bay as I start to feel better. I have only been down and out for a little over a week but feel like I am running at least a month behind the rest of the world. House is a mess, unorganized and generally getting out of hand. Things that I need to get done are falling behind and all I want to do is crash on the couch and watch useless shows and feel horrible about it all.
Took the first step today by working out. Felt like I was putting my body on notice that in the next few weeks and months I am going to be asking a whole lot more and I will be pushing beyond limits...time to start the slow climb out of this shallow hole I let myself slip into. Better eating habits, more time working the body and mind and slowly finishing off the stuff I need to get done.
the first real day of the upcoming year I am calling "lucky 13".
Time to stop typing and get to it! Now.
