My first Blog ever!!!! So who am I and what do I do. So I grew up in a small town called Woodland in N. California. Didn't really like it much back then but I seemed to appreciate it a lot more now. Both my parents are musicians and I grew listening to stuff from the 50's and the 60's which included anything from Elvis to Johnny Cash to The Beatles to CCR and anything in between. When I got older I got into punk music and now as an adult I listen to anything. I did make it though college and actually became a pharmacist. Now I'm a consultant for the California Medicaid program but I also continue with my first love which is music. I have been playing the drums for about 28 years or so and am currently in a band called The Nickel Slots. You can see on the web at www.thenickelslotsmusic.com or www.myspace.com/thenickelslots. We fall in the Americana/Roots rock n roll category but some of our stuff sounds a little rockabilly as well. We have a Ton of shows this summer which is great. I think the biggest one is going to be The Midnight Mass car show in Sacramento. Maybe I will see some of you out there.
