Back to the South Hill again yesterday in my quest for bees. It's nice to go from extreme wide angle photos to macro. Almost every time you stop there's something there, if you look. 6-23-15
What at first I thought was a Megachilidae turned out to be a cuckoo bee, possibly Epeolus or Triepeolus.
I arrived back home safe and sound with the Freeloader only slightly annoyed at me for having been gone almost three days. These are some of my photos from 6-16-15 and along the way home 6-18-15 in the Mt Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.
Once she found my glove she seemed content to stay there. I'm surprised she didn't run away. Usually spiders are really timid but she was rather friendly and didn't appear to mind being handled for a few minutes. 6-9-15
More from my favorite get away place, 6-3-15
On the morning I go to leave Hoh Rain Forest is the morning the sun finally makes an appearance. Naturally I frantically race around my camp site to try and get some photos before heading out. 5-18-15
Bees and a wasp and a fly and a true bug. 6-8-15
Bees are a favorite. 6-9-15
