I attempted to go out to Settler's Grove in Idaho today. Unfortunately I had to turn back with only three miles left to go. Even tried walking the rest of the way but the weather was against me. I did manage to get a few photos on my walk.

Went out to Shadow Falls today. It was very cold for here, about 7°F once I got out there. Was hoping to get similar lighting to the last time I was there but didn't take into account the sun rising in a different spot three months later. Still came home with some decent photos. Here's a tease.

This is my last photo in my black and white challenge. Spent the day at home, hoping that my car would be ready but naturally it isn't and won't be for yet another two more days at least. Instead I got caught up on some tv shows and spent quality time with the freeloader.
Before dawn at Liberty Lake. It was about 19°F with a bitter wind. I almost went home with what looked like two rag doll kittens that were hiding underneath pine needles in the brush. Their eyes reflecting off my headlamp gave them away but they were far too skittish to allow me to get close let alone bring them home. Hoping for better results tomorrow...
