It's been a rough week. Work hasn't been easy with multiple people taking vacations back to back. Lots of tension. Then the temperature has gotten up into the triple digits making the idea of doing anything outside impossible. Feeling burned out and worn down. Hoping that the next few days go better.

Still going through photos from May's trip to Hoh Rain Forest. Really missing

Today was the last day of my little mini vacation. After a trip to the Northern Cascades and spending one day doing nothing I was still feeling a bit stir crazy so I ventured out to Mt Spokane and tried a change of pace. Instead of my usual landscapes I focused more on macros. Being Saturday I was worried there would be lots of people...

While I had intended on camping through Friday I ended up changing plans this morning. Between the weather starting to go south and just a general feeling of the moops I just packed everything up and came home one day early. Along the way I did manage to get a few decent shots even though I regret not going up to Monogram Lake. Overall it...

Tomorrow morning I head out to the northern Cascade Mountains for some camping through Friday. Once again I'm slightly apprehensive about this because it's a place I've never been to before but it sounded interesting and off the beaten path. Just got done washing the car, don't ask me why I washed it before going on a road trip when in all honesty it'll have...

I was all set to go. My new hiking pants came in yesterday and had them on. Just drank my first cup of coffee, just about to start heading out the door. Then I get this terrible sense of dread. That going out hiking today was not a good idea at all. Thus goes my pants back to their hook on the wall. Off go...

I finally went someplace new for me today. I had been wanting to go to Little Pend Oreille National Wildlife Refuge for some time now but never could bring myself to go until this morning. Wishing I hadn't put it off for so long. Despite the rain and wind it was still a good day albeit short and wet. I have no doubts that should...

I made it back from my camping trip into Hoh Rainforest over the weekend. Despite having a tent meant for warmer weather things still went along smoothly. There were a few other hiccups but all in all it was a good time. Here's a few photos in no particular order. More to come later.

Today was a good day. A friend talked me into going out again to take photos even though I spent most of yesterday out in the woods. As a result from today I got some pretty decent photos and even some things I never had seen before. If you're not up for spider photos now would be the time to not continue.

@tbars thank you :) I live in western Washington. This was my first time getting photos of the nymphs. If I hadn't been trying to get photos of something else I never would have seen them move.
