Thanksgiving was pretty all right. Hung out with the family, ate, talked about what we were thankful for, and all that jazz.
Everyone was supposed to go around the table to list their "blessings" as well as what their contribution to the world is/is going to be. I gave thanks for the family, the holiday season which allowed such a gathering, and all the women who have come before me, who made life as a woman a hell of a lot easier.
There are so many things available to us now that weren't attainable just 30 years ago. This site is living proof. We can do things like this and no longer be viewed as "harlots" or "sluts". We're empowered! It's truly amazing.
The thing that slays me is how many girls/women that don't realize just how long and difficult the struggle has been, and how ungrateful they can be.
My grandmother recalled how when she was in high school there were no extra-curricular sports for girls, save for cheerleading. Now girls are out there on the field, often playing football with the boys!
