but a few months back a buddy of mine from dallas was killed under really weird circumstances, and i would have gone, even though it would have been a horrible experience for me, just to be there for my friends. but i couldn't get the time off from work, and couldn't afford the last-minute plane ticket.
but i would have gone if i could have.
just because it is the right thing to do, for them as much as, or more than, for me.
