with a gasp
i fall
through
windowless panes
and i sing
forever
through the dark night
through
shadows
and grain
i dodge
and i burn
and everything changes
and everything turns
and we are but glass in the sea
we become smooth
on each passing year
until we are worn away
or become dust.
right before we are almost
