The clouds have parted and the sun is shining down on me!
My girlfriend came home early from work yesterday and sat down with me to "talk". It turns out that she has been discussing living situations with her sister (currently in Africa) and they decided that when she returns to Canada maybe it would be a good idea to move in with me.
Little bit of a back story, I moved to Kingston in August and was staying with my best friend, and had planned on taking over her lease until I found my own place, until her landlord wanted me to pay more money and told me I could stay for one month which did not work for me at all. So my girlfriend suggested I move in with her best friend who was pregnant at the time and needed a roommate ASAP. I moved in with her on January 1st, but her boyfriend who lives in California proposed to her and as soon as her baby is 3 months old (we're at 1 month as of yesterday) she plans to move there and marry him, leaving me with a 2 bedroom apartment and $900/month rent.
I love my girlfriend and have wanted to live with her since like a month into the relationship. She lives 30 minutes away from me, but has 2 jobs; one in her home town and one another 30 minutes drive away. She doesn't get full time hours even with both jobs, and her old boss is now working at a Kingston location of the business we are both employed by. So, it just makes sense for her to transfer to the Kingston store, live with me, and have her sister find a job in Kingston as well (since she has work connections here). Our rent would only be $300 per person, we could have money to actually party and buy things we want, whereas right now we both scrounge to pay bills and our respective rent every month.
I am just over the moon. I love waking up next to her, falling asleep with her head on my chest, and cooking and cleaning for her. She makes me so happy, and I am so super jazzed to have her and her sister live in my huge apartment with me and our 3 cats. It's going to be so sweet
