Granted I know very little about this person except hes in love with Abbey, and he seems like good people but then I did meet him after a 24 hour shift, then a 15 hour drive, and only a few hours sleep to his name So I cant really say I know him all that well at this point. Perhaps we shall see how it goes.
My friend got really drunk tonight. Pour girl A double scorpion bowl, and then a single of the same will knock anyone on their ass. Shes no lightweight, but it didnt matter. She tried to eat at Bickfords and made a mess. \/Sigh\/ pour thing. I would have like to help her more than I did, but Abbey was repaying her kindness from a previous episode where their situations are reversed. I backed off knowing she was in good hands. And I didnt feel it was my place.
But there was fun had tonight We all hung around in a Karaoke bar. With normal people. Weird. They sang country songs and stuff. It was scary. Personally Im not into that kind of thing. Then again its hard to sing Goth/Industrial for a room full of normals.
I read lots of Quicksilver today. Its a really great book in that you really get a feel for the time period. It really shows that Stephenson has a long career ahead of him. He can churn out these vivid tales that are huge. Its astounding. Ive never read a better portrayal of life in the 16-1700s. Then again its not a time period I read often. I cant imagine how he can cram all the things he knows about into one head. Im hoping that he creates some medieval works as well, but I think hes more into the Natural Philosopher and beyond, kinds of things. Almost a history of science.
Ah, sleep finally comes for me. I was worried earlier that I wouldnt want to. I was too awake. I hope my friend is ok. Shes staying at Abbeys house tonight so there is no worry of her driving.
