Likewise, you can tell your friend to stop by Bacchanal (corner of Poland and Chartres in the Bywater) Tuesday through Thursday evenings and Sunday evenings and ask for Ryan. I don't work there, but I'm almost always there those nights. Lots of us sitting around tables with a couple bottles of wine and talking. Should be plenty of people there who could give her a line on a much better living situation at the very least.

I may be slightly biased, but I feel I'm pretty reliable (employed, stable, no debilitating substance addictions, not an asshole), so you can introduce her to me if you'd like. There are all kinds of reliable people to meet here in NOLA, despite the city's reputation. Admittedly they're not easy to find, but once she meets one or two she'll quickly meet one or two hundred more.

Got the C-mas tree today. Ate at Ruby Tuesday. I walked in and every waitress was standing at the door. And every one of them was gorgeous. It was amazing.
