My brother is getting out of the hostpital soon.
He has endured in the past two and a half weeks the following...He went in two days after Christmas
He has endured being cut open from his sternum to his pelvis, all his organs taken out to be examined, his Colon being removed, a pouch formed inside him. a protrusion of the end of his intestines routed to the outside of his belly, so a "wafer" can be attached to it, along with a bag. He is in surgery for four and a half hours. Then, after a week of needles, infection vomiting and bloating, to the point where he may DIE "They opened him all the way up AGAIN sometime after midnight" He is in surgery for another four hours. This time to wash out his body cavity, after removing all his gastro intestinal organs, you know stomach, kidneys , liver...to wash all the secretions, blood, infection, bile and so on off of them. Then put them back in, after sewing up a hole that had formed in the internal pouch, thus allowing all the disgestive fluids and blood to seep into his body cavity. Ok, then they put him on IV again, after installing a PIC line from the main artery in his right arm going up toward his heart. Because he has veins that roll, and so his arms and feet had been poked into in 20 plus different places. Then they install a catheter in his penis, then took it out after a couple days, and then took four hours to reinstall it for a second then third time. They gave him some medication that in combination with whatever else he was on "Gave him HIVES". Now today they stuck another line directly into his kidneys because there is an infection there. Oh, and of course the catheter, that had been removed, was reinstalled. Holy FUCK. He is a much much much much stronger man than me. I would have said fuck this shit just let me die, before you kill me with all these cures.

I am so sorry to hear about your brothers troubles. I guess it is a bad year for many. A friend of mine told me that his brother had to go in for Open heart surgeory on Christmas Day because he had some sort of infection that crept into his heart. The kicker is that the infection came from some Dental surgeory he had not too long ago. I wish him the best, and yourself as well. Thanks for your wonderful comments. They were really uplifting : )
