I alternately love and hate this job.
Today is a hate day. It's raining, I'm in a white uniform, and of course, I'm the office errand bitch, so I've already been out in the rain once. I'll probably have to take out the trash again today, too.
Not to mention that the office game is now "let's fuck with the lowest ranking person and give her shit for every little thing."
Even though I'm the only person here 15 minutes early (and I don't have my own key, so I have to go to the duty office to be let in every morning) I get bitched at - "You should change into your uniform as soon as you get here." Sorry, no. I get here early enough to eat my breakfast in peace and read BBC news. I don't see why I should be in uniform at 7:15 when nobody else is even here, much less in uniform.
And everything I say is open season for ridicule and debate, which is bullshit. I don't even attempt to clarify half the time, because they don't understand what I'm telling them. They have the mindset that because I'm low ranking, I must be an idiot.
Hello, I'm the only cryptologist in the room, and yet a bunch of photographers think they've cornered the market for intelligence?
And I'm sick of being cut off mid-sentence when I say something work related, but get yelled at if I cut Miller off in the middle of yet another boring, endless story about his family in California.
Things were fine until Miller got here. The whole office dynamic has changed in the past week and a half, and I don't like it. I have disliked him from first contact, for several reasons, and my disdain is growing with each work day that passes.
At least it's Friday. Only 6 1/2 hours left and then I have 2 whole days to myself.
