I like it when Summer ends. I'm not really a summer person. Living in a city doesn't help either, it gets a touch empty. And I'm almost always skint as well.
Bring on Autumn when the trees offer us conkers and the nights close in around us. When the slugs and snails dance around in aimless patterns on the pavements and paths, almost asking to be squished. And things generally start to look up (apart from the slugs and snails)
Good Thing One: On a random night out (which are always best) I met a girl.
Good Thing Two: The SGUK meet is this weekend
Good Thing Three: I have a paid comission to work on (creating a character for an educational project)
Good Thing Four: Hallowe'en draws near. I get to dress up as something wierd again. For the past few years I've been Edward Tattsyrup from League of Gentlemen, a mutant giraffe, Paul Daniels and Ed Wood. With all apart from Ed Wood (which was a bit last minute) I've been able to freak out good friends of mine (especially girls) which is great. That's what Hallowe'en should be about. There's still a lot of the kid who likes to shoot Madballs at his sister in me.
Good Thing Five: Zombina & The Skeletones are playing Manchester on Friday 28th. They are the perfect Hallowe'en band. I've seen them about four times already. Ooh, look at me getting all gushy.
Good Thing Six: The Family Guy Movie is out on DVD. All-right!!!
Good Thing Seven: My friend Chris is finally coming back from France in November. I miss him.

That's it for now I s'pose. There's plenty more Bad Things than Good Things, but isn't there always and I'm in the mood for optimism at the minute. Look forward to actually seeing some of you at the meet. Untill then...
