Things have been kind of all over the place here the last few weeks. Trying to get scheduled for as many funeral services as I can, but also trying to find ways to fill in the money gaps in the mean time. I started driving for Doordash in Spokane, but of course the universe decided that was too easy...so now my car is having issues. On that note also my etsy shop is open!
If you like bath bombs...if you like tea...or even if you just like ME (haha) please take a look!
The inaugural release is what I dubbed the SimpliciTEA Line (I love ridiculous puns). 12 different scents/flavors/whatever you want to call them to choose from, no artificial colors or flavors, all made with actual tea and tea leaves! I will be working on the second release in time for fall, as soon as I sell enough to pay for the supplies! It was fun to be behind the camera (I had taken 3 years of black and white dark room photography and had lapsed in taking photos) for the product shots. Had a lot of fun planning them. Here's a couple
Having so much time to sit and wait between shifts has also given me a great opportunity to work on projects around the house, like moving shelves around to finally display the Hellraiser and Tortured Souls figures I have (okay and my Invader Zim Collection) and to finish upholstering the steel casket!
I am SO THRILLED with how the casket turned out! Now I need to get the foam and fabric for the acrylic one! Both are currently on display in my dining room (make sure you're stalking my instagram @Cadavreliket for all the weirdness) next to my giant birdcage, My eventual plan is to build a really cool shed in the yard and make it look somewhere between a witch's hovel, gypsy carriage and an antique funeral home to store the caskets in and have as a garden get away, but that too costs quite a bit of money.
I did indeed survive the 100+ degree days we had, now I'm just trying to survive the thick layer of smoke covering the city. Since the house isn't air tight, there's little bits of it curling in around the door edges...what is this, some kind of horror movie? My mom decided to come over to visit this week, while she is recovering from her 2nd full shoulder replacement, so I drove to the halfway point of the state to meet my dad and pick her up, there were whole sections of cities that just aren't visible with all of the smoke. My dog Keena keeps looking at me when she tries to go outside with this hurt "mom why'd you do this to the air" expression.
