Have you had enough of me teasing you?

Between the vague mention of an idea I have and talking about the antique books my father bestowed upon me, I feel I have been a bit of a tease to you all.

Let me start with the books! These are really amazing for me to have, I grew up with these carefully placed on an out of the way way bookshelf, delicately dusting the crumbling covers. One is an old family bible, some are the primer school books from my great grandmother and her siblings. A couple are daily planners from 1900 and 1903 used as recipe books with Spokane newspaper clippings carefully tucked inside. My great grandmother was born in Spokane in 1910 (the year after my house was built) and her and my great grandfather went to Gonzaga before moving to western Washington. Hell, I even have some of my great grandfather's early architectural drawings now!

So cool! I have been collecting bits of family antiques and putting them in my china hutch. I also really want to do one of those DNA tests. My great grandmother's niece ( I usually just refer to her as my cousin, who let me live with her when I moved to Spokane (4 years ago today btw) ) did one and discovered we had some different heritages than we had been told!

While over visiting my dad ( and taking him out for german food and drinks) I also stopped at my favorite cemetery to see my favorite father / child headstone

As for the other tease...some of yoy may or may not remember ( depends on how long you've been following my 9 year career here or how deep you've dug into my old photo albums on here) that the first set I ever shot for SG, in fact, the set that got me as a Hopefuln was called A Family Classic. Corey and I had just started dating anf he supported (still does) my dream to go pink wholeheartedly, to the extent that he picked up my camera and with the garage door carefully closed to keep neighbors from peeking, he shot my first set on his 1967 red el camino

9 years, and over a dozen new tattoos and several piercings have come along. The 67 red el camino has been sold...but a beautiful blue 1966 el camino has made it's way from Alaska to my garage. So....here's my idea....a reshot set...not quite shot for shot ( it'll be better I promise) with the updated look.

What do you all think?

Speakong of the el camino, I got Corey a fancy new key chain for the key ring: a custom made damascus metal (88 layers of two kinds of steel) with a subtle flourish key chain. If you guys are on instagram please go check out (and buy from) @artifactmetalworks he is INCREDIBLE. I've commissioned a few things from him but have also bought a few of his ready made items. Fair prices for the amazing work he does! And seriously one of the nicest dudes!
