I've been failing you all at updating, so sorry. I promise that I've at least been lurking here, reading blogs (if not commenting) and trying to participate.
Things have been hectic in a not so fun way around here. I guess hectic...and at the same time....nothing at all. In the last few weeks, my crew was informed that we had lost our biggest client here in Seattle. We had a contract with them for 14 years, but things had been rocky with personnel change on their end in the last year. They didn't give us a full 30 day termination notice, and then they started playing games, having people shadow us, springing ridiculous requests on us last minute, so my company's new owner (yeah....busy last month for us) made the decision to pull off the site several weeks before our scheduled end date, and he informed the client of that. That's all good and well....it was a business decision to protect the crew too, but it was poor timing, as my dad/boss was out of town and well, that left us with a few weeks of way less pay that we could have saved up. So I'm a little stressed on the financial end, at least they helped set me up with partial unemployment, which is kind of a pain to deal with, can never get through to answer a simple question, and just waiting for it to kick in. Just glad Corey has steady work and that my company is even finding tedious bullshit tasks for me and the other lead to do to maintain SOME hours.
I've been trying to stay busy at home, now have every night off, except Wednesdays, and all day too. Bonus: More time with the hus-bean. But I'm going stir-crazy...I should be cleaning, packing, but the motivation is weak....so I'm trying the DDPYoga system and a workout calendar I made myself...but depression makes this a vicious circle.
Wow, this is kind of a depressing ramble with no pretties to distract, sorry. I look forward to July coming and going, there will be some good sites to work in that time, and my set comes out on the 25th. I think I'll wait for previews until it's a tad bit closer, or if you're dying to see, you could hop on over to my Print Sale! folder and see a few. I also no have the ability to do any thing in there in 4x6 also, and I just added a few more from Skidtography.
So if you are interested please please PM me and we will work something awesome out! Still trying to fund the airfare for New York too. Oy.
I'm also feeling bad that I totally saced on the fact that NerdMachine and I have hit our nearl 13 months straight of a single message chain, pretty exciting to me, it's been an all over the place conversation and it's awesome! He's great company
Well, I really don't have much to say, I try to update my Instagram but it's mostly pictures of Astrid, Zoog and Corey.
Hope everyone's summer (in this hemisphere at least) is starting out nicely.
