I wish I could come up with a clever intro to my blogs....but my brain just isn't functioning properly.

On Friday, I finally sorted out all of the car insurance fiasco, between shifts and a nap, and now I can drive my car freely! YAY!

Work has been easy...though one of the "new gals" at Michael's frustrates everyone on the crew I'm on. She makes this god-awful duckface, but with her teeth visible, while she walks around, and none of us can look at her without furrowed brows...and then she is just an absolute bitch, who tries to be passive aggressive to the people TRAINING her. GODDAMNIT. And Friday was one of my favorite coworker's (at Michael's) last day.

I've been working more and more on clay. Bought more supplies and a way to organize them, and have a list of pieces people have requested. I'm also working on some non-requested pieces just to sell. I'll load pics in the usual folder.

Saturday, Corey and I decided to go out and look at some more apartments. We had given up on the loft, but were still looking at places in that general area, and revisiting some we had already been to. One was a super nice community, in a beautifully lush greenbelt, but Corey was a little iffy on it, wasn't completely sold, though it was in our price range. We revisited one we had really liked, only to find out it wasn't so in our range. And on a whim, I pushed Corey to go to the lofts, just to look (I'm really good at pushing,,,and I've been right before). We walked in, told the manager how much we had loved the loft (though the exterior was drab and the neighborhood wasn't great..we loved the layout), and how hard we had been trying to get a place. Our luck, it was a new manager, and she told us that 3 had just become available, the residents were in the process of moving out, and the units would be available at the end of July! We put in our applications and did a little victory dance. Our victory dance also included a trip to the ORIGINAL Pagliacci's pizza in Seattle, right by Corey's work! NOMMY

It was a very gray Washington day...but that didn't stop the water parks from opening

I felt like such a creeper taking this picture, but I just had to show you guys how ridiculous we are here. The calendar says it's a few days til Summer, and damnit, we're out on the water slides

Well, as you know, Sunday was Father's day (and the 10 o'clock news said that the holiday was started here in WA...but I didn't hear the rest of the report). My dad had to fly out of town on Saturday morning. So Thursday, I baked my dad a 2 layer german chocolate cake, and wrapped his resent that I had ordered from the UK almost 2 months ago. We made plans to go out to a buffet that evening to celebrate early with my dad. I love my dad, he's awesome...but I do worry about him and his health. But I think he's too damn stubborn to leave us anytime soon.

I also sent some love to my other father yesterday, you may know him as RemoD66.tongue

I was trying to make chocolate dipper fruit for everyone for Corey's family's father's day bbq yesterday, and failed miserably. Then I tried to to make chocolate bowls from the mold I had bought on amazon for a surprise for Corey. Well, one box turned out great...then the mold warped..and we were able to get one more box...but saved the lid to make chocolate coins for everyone

The children (Corey, his sister and I) chipped in and bought Corey's father a fire pit for the backyard. I'm convinced the fire pit is really for his mom, but the dad seemed happy. We put it together while Corey's dad grilled the tri-tip roasts for some amazing french dip sandwiches for dinner..

I've been trying to reteach myself everything about SLR cameras, with trying to learn about DSLR's, since Dami's fiance was so kind as to lend me my dream camera until I can't get my own. So all of the photos from last week and this week are taken by the Pentax K-X. Including this

Be gentle with me, it's been awhile since I've used a camera...kind of like this. And even when taking darkroom classes..I was never really one to learn f stops and shutter speeds...I mostly went by my light meter...whoops.

Okay. So I've rambled enough, and I really should put on pants while I wait for the mail, and try to ignore the screaming elementary students outside my window.

Love you all
