I've realized that I tend to blog on Mondays, so why disappoint?
I worked my typical schedule Friday 3-10 am at Michaels, crash for a few hours, then cleaning job in the evening. Friday was the LAST time I ever had to work with the hated one! She has been let go from the company.
I don't know that I've ever properly described what my cleaning job is all about. First of all, the company name is Paragon International. In the close to 15 years my father has worked for them, there have been at least 3 company buy outs, and it has changed name a couple of times. I was put on payroll when I turned 16. My father is not the big boss, but rather the regional manager, and we basically take care of anything on the West Coast. I think there are a few small branches in Utah and New Mexico. Our branch is relatively small too, as the office is out of my parents' house. We clean critical environments, labs and data centers. Our most prominent account is the one I clean Fridays and Saturdays, and now get to add Tuesdays and Wednesdays to my schedule, for that account alone. We typically have monthly or quarterly cleans at other accounts. I can't really say the names of the accounts or clients, some are very sensitive and yeah..I sign contracts and have FBI clearance for some of them.
Back to the weekend eh? So, like I said in the last blog, they're doing a remodel on the account I clean regularly, and our work was cut way down. The hated one was told I believe Wednesday night, that Sunday would be her last shift, and on Friday they began the remodel, and even then she was trying to cut corners....fucking bitch. The headaches and drama at work will be cut way down too!
Saturday, Corey and I wanted to get out of the house, and decided to go to a local oddity shop, Archie McPhee's. If you come to Seattle, it's definitely a fun place to go. I had seen something on ifstylecouldkill.com that was from Archie McPhee's and desperately wanted it. Didn't find out til later that it won't be available until August. Oh well, just an excuse to go back! We bought a couple little things, including pieces to make a little present for the adorable and lovely (and loving) Ceri. I can't wait to see her again, so I need to figure out this stupid car thing!
The most notable thing we bought was this:
It's a USSR child's gas mask (without the filter)
I think we kept the receipt, because the way they rang certain things up was just hilarious.
Seattle is just....awesome, and I couldn't not take a picture of this
Corey and I decided to go from Archie McPhee's to the U District (near his work) and go to a comic book shop there to see if I could pick up some Hellraiser comics. (I was mistaken about the date of the 2nd issue coming out). Well, the shop didn't have any, and we stumbled out into a street fair and gorged ourselves on fatty fatty foods
(beef bratwurst, curly fries, veal bratwurst..the veal was a bad choice)
This picture makes me sick just looking at it....deep fried candy bars. A once in a life time consumption....and I will never do that again! Corey had a snickers, I had a milky way
I did beg and plead and finally win with Corey to stop at a smaller comic book shop on our way home, to pick up the Hellraiser comic for JohnnyZombie, and was told that THIS week is when the 2nd issue comes out. Good to know!
I worked with Mel Saturday night, and afterwards, we had a healthy food picnic in the car. My body needed some healthy goodies after the greasy food from the street fair.
This stuff...makes apple slices taste like caramel apples, and strawberries more heavenly
About 3 am Sunday morning, my stomach decided it no longer liked me...and sent me running for the bathroom. I spent Sunday hugging the toilet, and whimpering in pain. It seems to be the same stomach bug Corey's dad had about a month ago. Corey was so good to me, even though sitting at home all day drove him insane. My abs hurt so much, and my appetite is just ....in the toilet...so I haven't eaten anything today. I'm kind of afraid to.
Corey's mom has been letting me borrow her car for work, but otherwise, I'm stuck at home on days I don't work. The mechanics in the house have decided it wouldn't cost as much as we thought to fix my car (damnit....), so we are going to have to basically pull apart the engine, clean out all of the oil and water, fix the leak in the coolant system and put it all back together.
I guess Corey and I's plan is to fix up my car and use it as a trade in, instead of just using the money we would have gotten from the junk yard. I am dead set on getting a damn Mini Cooper now....so I need to save up for the down payment and keep looking around. The one MINI dealership we went to kind of won my vote though, because they had Faygo rootbeer in cans! Woohoo.
So..if anyone wants a clay figure...or something that you know I'm capable of, please please commission me!
I want to welcome Jimcurt99 to the world of texting Got to chat with him while I was rushing around work, and sick in bed.
Corey just sent me these pictures from his shop
I guess the shop was nice and warm. I hope they made it out okay and to a pond or something.
In my last blog, I mentioned that according to Combichrist, I am both a Fuck Machine, and a Boybeater and I have the merch to prove it
plus these pics are just kind of hot...right?
I wish I had a nice DSLR, maybe I'd try self-shot sets....maybe..
Well, I'm going to go stare longingly at food and see if any of it doesn't make me gag.
XOXOX
