WHAT A WEEKEND!
Holy crap fest it was amazing!
I was supposed to work Wednesday to cover for my absence at work on Friday night, but I got this awful stomach bug that left me in bed all Wednesday and Thursday.
Friday we had planned to have a limo take Mel and a few of her friends to a very awesome place on Capitol Hill, but the limo rates changed, so all 7 of us squished into one car (first time I've ever sat in one of the rear facing seats in a car...those are definitely not meant for 20 year olds). This was my first time going to Julia's on Broadway, even though I've walked by it for years and have wanted to go in just as long.
We weren't allowed to take pictures inside, but I snapped a quick one of part of our group while we waited and found a few pics of the performances online. I couldn't blog about going to a drag show without pics could I!?!?! Mel, her boyfriend Kenny and my long time friend (among other places in my life) Rainy were all over 21 and drank some cocktails with very amusing names. I can't wait til I turn 21 and can drink there!
The host was awesome, and the majority of the performances were beyond amazing. There was aerial acrobatics and amazing choreography! Here's the pictures I found
After the show we trekked to Shari's for pie and random foods. Rainy had a riding crop in her car, so I ran around in Shari's and in the parking lot whipping our group. We didn't get into our own car until about 2:30 am, and which point we remembered that we hadn't listened to KGRG's Late Night Death show to win tickets to see Anal Cunt later this month. But I remembered that Killingspree was on air until 3 am, so we called in and got the last pair! YAY WEIRD BAND NAMES! Corey promises I won't die at the show, but I'm not fully sure of that.
Saturday morning my mother picked a very exhausted Corey and I up, got us some caffeine and we went to get ingredients for some very nummy fried rice (which I'm munching on now!) and to go to my favorite tea shop. We then made the rice, ate some of it, then Corey and I came home to nap before I had to work. I was so tired and full of DGAF that I was just wearing baggy sweatshirt and stole Corey's hat. Mel and I were getting really weird looks at the gas station, because we looked like this:
We got to work in Bothell, then realized we look like a lesbian couple! At least we look like an adorable couple.
Yesterday we just didn't want to do much of anything, but we ended up going to see Paul with Corey's dad, eating dinner, then going rollerskating with my amazing friend Acey (yes, her name is on my thigh). I hadn't been rollerskating in at least 10 years, and I was just a nervous ball of...me (damn hormones). Acey is on a derby team, and so is her mom and sister, and there were a ton of derby girls there just having fun. At least I looked like I fit in but my skating skills were way way less than even the 4 year olds! I think I'm going to buy some skates just to have a good way to work out around the neighborhood. My huge girl crush on Acey came back full force between yesterday and hanging out today. She's so pretty and laid back and awesome!
I got an email today saying I won tickets to the Seattle premiere of Hanna through SG on Thursday. I'm pretty excited. I don't know much about the movie, but it'll be fun to go out and maybe meet other members!
Corey and I's 2.5 year anniversary is next Monday. I can't believe we've been together that long.

And just 13 days until my set goes up in MR!!! Are you fucking excited? I am. You better be...and I hope you'll leave me lots of love...I'd really like to go pink sometime soon!

Hey Honey!!! I will DEFINITELY give your new set lots of love!!! AND I had a great time playing at the curling tourney...but damn, I forgot it would be COLD...that chilly air blew right up my kilt!!!
