Time for a new blog!

Yay! First of all...what a weekend! Comic Con was AMAZING. Corey and I went all 3 days (which was maybe a little much, but lesson learned).

I have to say a HUGE thank you to Witchartist who sent me payment for the latest clay piece I worked on for him (I promise to ship it this week!) and he sent me a present!

Both books from my wishlist!

I met Corey at his work on Friday and we headed off to Comic Con. We wandered around for a while, just kind of soaking it all in, then we ended up at the SG booth (of course, right?). We chatted with a couple girls (namely Lyxzen and Toxic, then we ended up accompanying Toxic and Cruella to lunch. It was fun getting to hang out with the lovely ladies, though I feel like I ended up looking like a lost puppy hanging out at the booth a lot of the weekend.

And I got an update picture of Lyxzen and I

The booth right across from the SG one was where the guys from the Boondock Saints ( Norman Reedus and Sean Patrick Flanery) were sitting. They were supposed to charge for photos and signatures, but Corey told Norman Reedus that we couldn't afford it, so while his manager was looking away, he let us snap a picture

And quickly signed something for Corey. He was super nice!

Saturday morning we had planned to have cupcakes and coffee with Toxic, but she wasn't feeling too good, so we took a raincheck. Her husband ended up coming up to Comic Con and we got to meet him and have lunch with them at the Daily Grill, right next to the convention center. They had a great Manhattan Clam chowder. Toxic ended up going back to the hotel after lunch, and Corey and I grabbed their stuff from the booth for them.

The convention had close to half of the comic book and cthulhu related things on my wishlist, and I bought a couple of them. Corey and I also went through a lot of the comic book bins. We ended up buying a total of 46 comic books (with at least 5 of those for being for other people). The amount of Cthulhu was overwhelming and I pretty much squealed the whole time. Sunday, we did have cupcakes and coffee with Toxic and her husband, but they headed home to Portland right after that. I hope she's feeling better.

We spent way too much money this weekend, but we're very happy. And definitely go another year without throwing ourselves into a huge group of people of that...kind ( my inner nerd was not strong enough for that convention).
Sunday was a little slow, so we basically just wandered the building and sat around

Today I'm on Molly-dog duty. I really wish dogs could talk sometimes. She went into surgery to repair her ACL on one leg, on Friday, she came home with no complications Saturday morning, but she looks absolutely miserable, and the pain pills she's on have her in a fog and unable to control her bladder (yeah..TMI). I finally got her to eat some dry dog food and am hoping that will balance out the pills a bit. It's going to be a rough couple of weeks, waiting til her stitches are taken out, then another 14 weeks til she's mostly fully healed. Her other ACL already has a small tear in it, and we're really worried. She's only 2 1/2..poor girl.

Well, I'm going to go try to decipher the whimpers and try to make her happy while not losing my mind.

Oh...and I'm so GODDAMN HAPPY that I have another set in MR April 18th. This is the first set I've ever had to submit only once to get it accepted! SOOOOO HAPPY.

love

What a great time you had! I had a good seminar but came home to a dead computer, I fear, so I'm still out of touch--borrowed one just to say hello--love you back!
