It's been snowing on and off here for the last week, but not enough to keep Corey home with me so we could run nekked in the snow together (See my Life is Better Naked album for my tits in the snow)

Friday, I had a girls' day planned with my amazing friend/sister (I got "adopted" by her family) Mel (see my first two sets for her photographic work biggrin ). After she got out of class at 2, we went and got cupcakes at Common Grounds, then we went to get our nails done. Neither of us had gotten a manicure or pedicure in such a long time. It felt SO good! And we were sitting there chatting and I just happened to look up at the tv, and I said "Oh hey that's Pioneer Square....hey...Mel....that's your brother's plaque...oh...my god". The news was playing this story:
Kris Kime's gift of life: 10 years later

Today is the 10 year anniversary of the night Mel's brother was killed during a Mardi Gras celebration, trying to save a complete stranger. I've posted pictures of his plaque before, but let me remind you.

And if you're ever in Pioneer Square in Seattle and were touched by this video, go pay your respects. I never met Kris, but his sister is one of the most important people in my life. She and I sat there sobbing through the entire report, while finishing our manicures and pedicures. We both really needed a good cry..and every super girly day should have a good cry in it...Right?

After our nails dried and we had bought Girl Scout cookies, we went back to her house (where I hugged her mother) and we got dressed for the Emilie Autumn show at Studio Seven. We looked goddamn HOT. The doors opened at 7, but we didn't even leave the house in Renton until 7:30. Our tickets were will call and we got there about 8 and stood there listening to songs from Sound of Music, Alice in Wonderland and random other things I can't place, while staring at this:

And looking like this:

I'm not going to overwhelm you with pictures from the show, I'm just going to put up a few of my favorites, but I will say that that was the absolute BEST show I have been to. It was a play, with burlesque and amazing music all tied in together in a psycho clusterfuck of gorgeousness and greatness. Plus the interaction with the ground was just goddamn amazing (can you say throwing tea and crumpets at us...corrupting female audience members with girl on girl action..?)

And then they did an amazing cover of Bohemian Rhapsody

What a fucking amazing show.

Saturday, Corey and I had to stay out of the house because his sister was hosting a Job's Daughters' open house, so we went blacklight mini golfing and then went to work.

Yesterday, I had breakfast with my mother and she fronted me the money for a new digital camera (just a basic point and shoot) since mine officially kicked the bucket at the show, and then we decided I'll just clean her house once a week for her to pay it off. it;s a Samsung SL605 12.2 megapixel. I'm happy. Corey and I hung around the house, then we went to BAPB's house to shoot A NEW SET! It was a complicated set up and we had to kind of rush through it since we couldn't start til the sun went down, but then we couldn't stay too late because Corey and BAPB had to get up early for work. I have a disc of images to go through, and I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high, but I'm fucking proud, and we got to end the night with nummy pizza.

I should be cleaning my car (couldn't really bring a duffel bag of lingerie into the house in front of Corey's dad last night) and our room, but my motivation is very low, and I'm going to try not to think of the news report I posted because I'm pretty sure I'll start sobbing.

Well, I'm off to try to get motivated. Love you guys, Thanks for reading my rambling and for being so supportive!love

Edit:
I desperately want this book....
